Idea or summary (if any): There was a post on tumblr forever ago about what if your favorite character showed up on your doorstep and said 'I'm sorry you don't know me, but you're my favorite character and I had to change this story's ending.' I'm doing that but with Fingon from the Silmarillion showing up on the doorstep of Steve Rogers from Captain America, and ignoring any MCU that came out after CATWS. And Steve is a Tolkien geek because I say so.

Or else the time-travel selfcest where the older version of the character is keeping secrets from the younger, and trying to teach him to be less trusting, and hoping he doesn't have to kill their dad (also Silmrillion fandom). Depends which is easier to plot.
