So I've been having both of my stories all outlined on my computer - super happy with my ideas! But I literally wrote my first words (780 of them) for one of them last night. The other remains untouched. ahaha...

I'm still thinking I may drop the second story. Not because of time restraints or worrying about lengths, but because the one I'm mostly interested in is technically two stories in one. It feels almost like I'd be writing 3 stories! It's not a bad thing, I just don't want to half-ass anything. And both stories include tons of worldbuilding (most of it is hinted at in one, the other is literally defined by it, if that makes sense).

I remain optimistic for completing both (hopefully) but I'm realistic.

I have a complete first draft that's just shy of 15K words, but I'm about to rip out part of the second chapter because I can tell that it's wrong.

The story is a Sky High darkfic AU that's part of a series that involves branching AUs. I can't recall if this is branch 3 or branch 4.

Haha well I'd written 11k in the project I intended to complete for this but something about it seems off and I'm super stressed about it. I think I need to step back from this one and complete it at a later time.

At least I've gotten back into the swing of writing a decent amount every day! I'm doing to switch to another fic for this particular challenge... one that requires a bit less effort and more fun on my part. I feel like I spent the whole first month of this just warming up only to realize I'd been taking all this too seriously.

I decided to go with the Killjoys post Sing fix-it fic/"Girl" focused story and I'm a little over 4k into it. So far it's mostly the happy comfort stuff I've finished, so I've got to make myself sit down and write the torture that will make the tearful reunions work.

I finally admitted that my original idea -- which I still do love -- was way too nebulous to pin down in time, so I'm regrouping at Em's Id Base Camp, which basically means Penny Dreadful of some damn description or another. I have about eight hundred notebooks with various unrealized ideas going back to the end of S1 -- the ones from late 2016 on are numbered and filed, before that not so much -- and it's a TIME going back over them, considering that during that period my entire life got upended about once every four months or so.

I have around five outlines for different fics with maybe a page's worth of actual fic written? Hopefully I can make myself sit down and really commit soon because bouncing between ideas isn't really working. Currently going back-and-forth between a crime-spree threesome inspired by a music video or fake dating/bed sharing fic for one of my beloved rarepairs.

I have 3K written on one project, but I'm really disenchanted with the vast majority of it. It's a big messy poly drama, but it reads way too paint-by-numbers during the sexy parts and disjointed-but-interesting in the nonsexy parts. Also, it keeps pretending to be about two pairings when it's really about a threesome and a completely different pairing? I have no idea what to do about it, other than try to make it work while also starting on a completely different project.

I had this one idea for a really fun a/b/o thing, and then I started writing something else pretty iddy but because it's really sad and really sappy which is really deeply me, but it's coming along. That first fic was bandom, and this one was MCU. I'm pretty sure I'll end up focusing in on one of these and submitting that, or starting over, but right now I'm about done with the set up for both, and I'm hoping I'm close to settling soon.

I changed my teeny tiny less-than-five-fics sitcom fandom to Trial & Error, but I have 10k of gen rape recovery fic (featuring a bit of courtroom drama for spice) and my dude’s barely out of the hospital. The recovery hasn’t even started yet and the friendship hasn’t gotten into full gear but be assured that there will be a great deal of friendship.

I am having a blast.

(...And not even close to finishing, though I have a plan for everything.)

I'm 5100 words in for the first draft, according to Scrivener, and enjoying myself immensely.

That's about 50% of the story. Probably. Not sure. I am appropriately letting my id run the show. XD But I'll make it to the deadline. Of that, I'm sure.

I was off to a great start, banged out around 3k in about a week (which is very fast for me!), and unfortunately haven't touched it since. I meant to sit down this week and do some serious thinking about whether this is finishable or if I should put it aside and try a different idea, but life got pretty firmly in the way. Definitely still optimistic that I'll have something finished and deliciously iddy to turn in at the deadline, though!

hey there! i'm writing for The Magnus Archives, it's basically dubcon Jon/Everyone x-made-them-do-it with a romantic h/c focus on Jon/Elias.

right now I have the first 2000 words done, and it was mostly all the boring stuff - you know, the bullshit explanation for why he absolutely needs his coworkers to give him regular orgasms, the discussion around that stuff, a possible ending outline. now i just have bunches of filthy kinky smut and twisted fluff ahead of me, which I'm really excited about!

weirdly my only problem right now is that when I started this I sort of indulged my iddy desires (which I discovered thanks to some other fic in the fandom and probably has its roots in my own genderqueerness) and wrote trans!Jon, but that's starting to feel so completely irrelevant to the fic that it feels a little fetishy, more "boypussy kink" than anything else, and I'm starting to wonder if I should just switch him back to cis before I get into the smut. I know we're all about doing shit without shame but I don't wanna be actually offensive yknow?
