That is why writing porn is so tricky! Personally, I hate the word 'hole', but like, fuck? What sexier words do I invent to say the same thing? And then it's 'he penetrated his partner's garden of trust'.

And now I really want to read robot porn. I would think it would be harder to write, but I could be totally wrong!

Ah yes - the descriptions. I am the same. The one time I did write smut, my beta read it and was like "Okay, I know what they're *feeling* right now, well done, but....what are they actually doing???"

I occasionally frustratedly resolve to only ever write people without penises having sex because I can't find any satisfactory words for penis that don't sound weird in my prose.

Also, that's really interesting to me - robot porn vs. human porn. I've recently been running into xeno problems (what do I call a tentacle dick while not using those words) but I wouldn't even know where to begin with robots.

Aaaaah, it has been such a long time since I've participated in any sort of bang! It's kind of nervewracking - and at the same time, comforting to know that if I fuck up the only person I'm going to disappoint is myself (as opposed to a recip in an exchange, I mean).

Thankfully, I've already gotten a decent headstart on this iddy fic because I was writing it for Camp NaNo. I hit a speedbump as I ended up having to research things (Star Wars' Order 66 is a clusterfuck of trying to figure out who is where doing what), but I'm hoping that signing up for IIBB will keep me plugging along.

I had one of those moments where the author probably intended a completely innocent close friendship, and I read it and went, "Wow, this dynamic is kinky as fuck, look at thiiiiiiis, I want mooooore".

And so I had two ideas, and none of them inspired me when I actually got to write. I wanted to get some porn on, but nooo, my brain switched to cuddling/bed sharing - in fandom I didn't even wanted to write.

Usually, I pic what to write by the mood I'm in for, specially if I want to read something (kink or trope) and I already read everything or close to it in AO3.

I'm also hijacked by prompts, like I started writing Dom/sub Star Trek, because a fic I read was awesome, and end up with cuddling and emotionally stunted Starfleet officers.

I'm writing the eleventh story I wanted to. I had 2 initial ideas for the sign-up and a whole new other poll of prompts, until my brain end up with I have now.

Eheh, I'm just going to post what I have and start over on a new thing. No use sitting on a completed piece for that many months. Especially since my twitter followers have been bemoaning how there haven't been any fics for this pairing for a while.

I'm still generating ideas, just throwing them out on one big doc, all kinds of things I want to write that I wouldn't normally. So far my first idea is the one calling to me, but I might choose something else. I have time. :)

I like slash, I like age differences, I like pining. Sometimes I marvel at just how perfect for me Vetinari/Drumknott is. I just want to write about them pining after each other more and more.

My origfic is the same thing but in a different direction. I don't like some of the more dubcon/power play stuff in the V/D fandom, but that doesn't mean I don't actually like it. Only if there are happy endings all around though, of course :D

Knotting is one of my favorite kinks, but I don't necessarily like all what comes with ABO for the current pairing of my heart. Cue, Magnus' dick being his warlock mark for all the knotting a girl could want :D
I wanted to write this last year, but then I got sidetracked during the build-up, and ended up with jewelry kink and body worship and Magnus hiding his knot.
So this year is the year \o/

What's your favorite thing about the canon you're writing for? For origfic writers, what's your favorite thing about the world you're creating?

I still haven't yet decided which fandom to write for because I have just been ambushed by a new idea. I still have time?/hopeful.

I feel that I like my canon for very different reasons:

Star Trek: TOS: competency, loyalty, teamwork, action/adventure, colleagues who enjoy working together, genuine good and nice characters, scifi that tries to explore social issues

Count Cain: OTT gothic aesthetic, codependency, loyalty, the slash, murder mystery, crack, deeply flawed but interesting characters, competent immoral characters

I'm writing Teen Wolf fic and even though it's an AU, I'm keeping the most important part: WEREWOLVES. :D
