Hello, allow this mod to id-luminate things! \o/ The short answer is: the drop rule was mainly meant as a deterrent for folks who reserved a posting date (since we try to space posting week out and many people want the same dates) and then vanished without a word. If you look at the table, you’ll see that even if you drop after the 8th, you’re still totally welcome to join next round as long as you give us a quick heads-up. Hope that clears up the confusion a bit!
