Writing status: Draft is 100% complete!

Editing status: ...maybe 10% complete. Ew.

After doing a full read-through, I'm really happy with this story in general! There are a whole lot of wrinkles to iron out, but it's mostly simple stuff.

I think I bit off more than I can chew and I'm going to drop everything except the thing I DMed you about, which I still would very much like to do. But the other two that I publicly posted about are going to have to be shelved for another time, alas!

Writing is going... um... well, you see....

But at least my idea is... uh... sorta....

It's not happening. I have no ideas anymore. I am now full on "Head: Empty" and I think I'm not going to do anything this round. Which bugs me. But the idea I started with is going to be way longer than I'd originally anticipated, and I'm just.... *sigh*

Maybe I'll go with my other YGO idea?? Which is basically an entire retelling of YGO with a major double-cross???

I'm at around 4.5k so I'll be able to reach the minimum wordcount soon. The middle is still a royal mess and I realized I prefer writing UST to writing porn but at this point, I don't want to mess with the story I originally had in mind in any major way.

I'm almost done!!! :D At 20k so far, shouldn't be more than 25 when all is said and done. I'll have to do a bit of editing, and whip together an edit and a couple illustrations, but that should be doable by the deadline.

Good news: I'm about two thirds of the way through the first draft!

Bad(?) news: It looks like it's going to be a little longer than I expected, and I might have to cut a bit for time, but we'll see. (That bit could work just as well as a sequel, anyway).

I have a fairly detailed outline and...maybe 500 workable words of my unbelievably miserable CMBYN angstfest Hoping to get a complete very drafty first draft done by the second check-in but otherwise feeling pretty good!

I ended up flailing between ideas again, did a lot of work on one and then changed my mind, but now I'm settled on my final idea and am making good progress!

I haven't made any new progress, but I signed up with a drawerfic that was already at 4.5k words, so… things are… maybe okay? I kind of accidentally tripped and fell headfirst into a different fandom and I've been writing a lot for that, and there's a slight chance I'll end up using one of my new wips for IIBB. You will definitely get 5k words of something from me, but at this point I don't know whether it's going to be Saint Seiya sex pollen fic or MDZS mpreg fic, lol.

I’ve decided my ship at least…and it will be connected to a couple of teaser scenes I’ve already posted, so there are several plot points I could incorporate, assuming I get to anything resembling plot in among all the smutty things these characters are going to want to do to each other.

Got a pretty firm idea that still depends on what the (ongoing) canon is doing. The finale will most likely be after the deadline, so I'm gonna have to poke my id to write the fic whether or not it'll turn out a full AU in some aspects (I mean, nothing wrong with that anyways, but my brain doesn't let me write as long as it's stuck in 'what if' limbo - and of course it also doesn't let me switch to a different idea, cause that would be far too easy. *sigh*).

I decided to take an old cyberpunk! Kingdom hearts drawer fic and finish it. It has been... rough. I might've forgotten how hard editing is. I am still determined to get it done but I will need to do some major rewriting to make it work. I did a similar treatment to a Potter-fic at a past iddy and it turned out fine so not too worried. Still waiting for the moment when all the pieces fall into place though.

Currently struggling to balance the ratio of plot vs. porn and feeling like I've gotten in way over my head. At least I've already hit 5k? Even though it's all a total incoherent mess? :D?

Writing-wise: 80%, I think? Editing is about the same, because I keep going back and checking things to make sure they flow together. ^^;

As for gripes, well, I'm a bit miffed at myself for trying to hustle through certain scenes, because this unexpected "love" confession has no real weight behind it. But I have no idea where to *put* that weight, if I want to have this done on time. Maybe I'll think of something between now and the deadline...

But I know what I'm writing and am doing canon review, so hopefully that number will go up fast.

I have a full outline and about the first 3k writ! This outline is pretty detailed, and though I'm excited to move onto the writing phase :D unfortunately it also means it has grown quite a bit D: so there's another at least 7k to go. wish me luck mods~
