I appreciate this post, because it gave me the kick in the pants that I needed to get to work. ;)

My project for this year is all editing work, but I'm going to have to edit a huge chunk of of the sex scene, and I'm dreading it. It's always such a pain in the ass to make the changes seamless.

If it helps, I find that the edits aren't ever so obvious to a reader. You know exactly where the seams are. A reader just sees the finished story.

Almost as soon as I decided which fics to work on for this, my brain instantly went 'no. i no longer want to work on those. you can stare at that word doc for three days and do nothing, I'm going to be in the Alex Rider fandom' so that's... been extremely frustrating. Perhaps I shall switch which drawer fic I'm using for this bang (catch me in 2 days time with the exact same problem lmao).

Alex using amnesiac Yassen to sell a cover story and hoping very much that the assassin won't suddenly remember at the most inconvenient time, but also Nile's doing his best to work his way into the plot and you know what? I'm probably gonna let him ahahaha. Thank you! I have now reconsidered and we're going full throttle to AR!

I'm only familiar with the books, not the TV show, so I'm guessing Nile is from that. Still - always love stories exploring Alex and Yassen's complicated relationship.

There's a tv show???? a quick google has shown me that there's been a tv show for 2 whole years and I've been living under a rock lmao. Nile's from the 4th (??) book, he's Julia Rothman's underling with the swords. and very much same, there's so much to explore!!

There's a TV show! And it's got more Yassen than the books did! I still haven't watched it, though.
